Hi allIf anyone is interested in joining the club trip to Fiji in June now is the time to commit and get your booking in. The trip is a two resort trip with the first leg a couple of nights at Barefoot Kuata Resort including up to 8 dives, 3 of which are the resorts key note Bull Shark feeding dives. The second leg is 7 nights at Mantaray Island Resort including 10 dives and a great chance of seeing Manta Rays. I did this trip the year before last and can highly recommend it. It is also a great trip for non diving family members with plenty of other activities to keep them amused. If anyone books on please can you let me know so that I am aware. For more information please don’t hesitate to give me a ring on 0439 310646 or drop me an email at President@vsag.org.au.VIC SUB AQUA FIJI 2019 BOOKING FORMVIC SUB AQUA GROUP FIJI 2019 FLYER
VSAG will once again be supporting the Great Victorian Fish Count. We hope to survey some or all of the following dive sites:
A Graveyard Wreck
The George Kermode
At long last we got the boats out again today with 3 full boats diving the Pinnacle and George Kermode out of Newhaven, Phillip Island.
Really shocked at how much the George Kermode has deteriorated.
We even found time to hop further down the coast and check out the wreck of the Speke.
Hopefully boating season is on again now.
Continuing the clubs focus on Safety we have now taken delivery of three more Oxygen kits. These will be located on Peter Galvin’s, John Ashley’s and Grant Callow’s boats for the coming diving season. Together with the existing two sets, one of which is located at Scuba Doctors and one at my place in Frankston South we should now have the capability to put two divers onto O2 long enough for medical assistance to be reached on all of our diving days.
Victorian Sub Aqua Group
Come and join us for our September General Meeting this coming Tuesday 18th September at the Water Rat Hotel, South Melbourne at 20.00. Our presenter on the night will be Ian Scholey who will tell us the wonderful diving available at Tawali, Papua New Guinea.
