We will be holding our July General Meeting on Tuesday 16th July at The Water Rat Hotel, 256 Moray Street, South Melbourne. As usual we will meet in the bar from 19.00 with the meeting starting at 20.00 sharp.
Our guest speaker this month will be Geelong Diver Jim Anderson. For those that remember the news story Jim is the diver that found and returned the 150 year old beer to the McEwens Brewery in Scotland. Jim will be talking about the early days of Melbourne Diving and particularly the rediscovery of many of the wrecks scuttled in the Ships Graveyard.
This should be a great prezzy especially for the rust lovers in the club.
Inaddition to Jim’s presentation we will bring you up to date on what’s been happening around the club including our trip to dive with the Bull Sharks in Fiji and our recent efforts to dive the SS Glenelg. Finally we will judge the June photo contest so don’t forget to get your entries in.
See you there
